South Dakota Boxer Rescue, where every boxer counts!

RAISING AWARENESS, RAISING FUNDS FOR ANIMAL RESCUE

Follow the creation of two photo books: one on rescue dogs and one on deaf dogs. These books will be sold by shelters and rescue groups and on the website http://melissashouse.typepad.com/shelterstories/preorder-the-photo-books to help raise money for animal rescue.

Proceeds from the sales of these books go directly to rescue groups, including South Dakota Boxer Rescue!

Our own SDBR graduate, Aspen was recently photographed for the deaf dogs book!! SDBR will receive a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the books.

Over the next few months, Melissa McDaniel will be traveling around the U.S. and Canada to photograph people with their dogs and to interview workers at animal shelters and at animal rescue groups. The latest photos and stories will be posted here, and on her blog (http://melissashouse.typepad.com )

The photo books will help raise awareness about the pet overpopulation problem and help educate the public about shelter animals and deaf dogs, and be sold to raise money for shelters and rescue groups all over the U.S. and Canada.

Gracie & SDBR THANK YOU!!!!

Gracie has been adopted by her foster family!  Presely could not bear the thought of Gracie moving on to another furever home.  We are so happy for Gracie.
Thanks to so many generous folks - 100% of funding was reached!!!!
Gracie was rescued from a high kill shelter, only to find that her life is still at risk - she is heart worm positive.  Heartworm treatment is expensive.  Gracie had her first round of treatment and is responding very well in her caring foster home.  One more treatment for sure is needed and hopefully she will have a clear test to follow.  If you have a extra $10 or any amount to contribute to Gracie's care, it would be appreciated.  SDBR is a nonprofit organization which will mail you a receipt for tax purposes (our mailing address can be found on our "contact info" page).  A paypal button is also present on our home page(below). Gracie deserves to receive the best of care which her previous owners neglected to give her.
